How To Make A Quality Recorded Podcast Interview.
Podcast interviews are a really hot item these days. Lots of people want to hear from the movers and shakers in the industry or unusual and interesting stories.
Instead of writing about it, many are turning to podcast interviews. You’d be surprised how many people are willing to share their stories with you.
There are a number of ways to record an interview. You can do a face-to-face interview or a long distance interview.
Some devices used to record are your cell phone, a digital recorder, or a computer with software or hardware specific to the task. I’ve used them all in my work as a broadcast journalist and gotten some good results.

A cell phone is really hand and can get surprisingly good recordings. You can record face-to-face or record calls.
I have used a high quality digital recorder in my journalism job for several years. There are some great ones out there. I used a Zoom H4 that records well.
I’ve also used a phone patch to computer to record interviews.
But the best quality I’ve found is Skype.
That’s what I use for all distance interviews these days. For face-to-face I use my Zoom H4.
I record on Skype using Pamela then edit the file using Audacity. After it is edited I upload to Soundcloud to have a link to post to my blog. I show you exactly what I do in this video.
There you have it, how to make a quality recorded podcast interview.
Let me know if you got some value and please share.
