8 unique ways to use your blog content

I have a blog post, now what?

So you’ve set up a blog and made your first blog post. How do you get that blog out to people so they will see it? How do you establish your authority and create an audience?

There are several things you can do with your blog post and even use it several different ways to make it visible on the internet. There are dozens of places to syndicate (publish) your blog.

The easiest and most common way to put your blogs out there is to syndicate it on media sites.

There are several social media sites commonly used for syndicating your blog: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Linkedin, Stumbleupon. Some other sites include Medium, Social Media Today, Growth Hackers, Inbound, Biz Sugar and Quora.

8 Unique Ways to Use Your Blog Content

But did you know you could take that same content and do other things with it?

  1. Repurpose your blog content as an online course then publish it on sites like Udemy, Skillshare, Guides.co or Helpouts by Google.
  2. Create a slide deck on Slideshare, Slideworld, Slideboom or Scribd.
  3. Create an infographic using Infogram, Pictochart or Visual.ly and post your infographic on Slideshare, Pinterest, Google+, Tumbler or Flickr. Haunt places like Daily Infographic, Cool Infographic or Infographics archive to get an idea of what infographics people like.
  4. Create a video or podcast of your content. You can post it on Youtube, Vimeo, or Viddler. Your podcast can be posted on Soundcloud or iTunes. You can also link Soundcloud to iTunes so it will automatically syndicate to iTunes from Soundcloud.
  5. Turn your content into a webinar. There are a number of webinar hosts like GoToWebinar, Join.me, Eventbrite and others.
  6. Turn your copy into an ebook. Publish using Papyrus, PressBooks, Liber.io, Kindle and iBooks.
  7. Turn your copy into a published paperback. It’s easy with tools like Amazon CreateSpace, or Lulu. There’s also a nifty application called Flip Powerpoint Pro that you can use to create an interactive ebook.
  8. Turn your content into an email course. Drip out content to your readers a little at a time. Track it using Campaign Monitor, Mail Chimp or Aweber.
